Johnson Park has always been on the AO expansion list and the PAX took the opportunity to explore it. Unfortunately, we got lost on the ‘scenic trail’ and decided to make an adjustment to our route which resulted in a recon mission of Bald Eagle’s new home.

AO – Johnson Park
Drizzle of Snow / Rain | 39 degrees | 72% humidity
[0530 – Core Principles recited. Disclaimer given to 3 PAX] – Bald Eagle, Bubblegum, MAD COW (QIC)
15 SSH (IC)
15 Cherry Pickers w/Back Clap (IC)
PAX started to mosey on the scenic trail that loops around Johnson Park. We lost the trail but decided to move our position to Advantage by doing a recon of Bald Eagle’s new home.
Once we arrived at Bald Eagle’s new home, the PAX dropped for:
Wave of Merkins: Circle up, get into plank position, first person does one merkin, then the next person to the right does two merkins…counting up two 10 merkins. Once a PAX does 10 merkins – begin counting down to 1 merkin.
The PAX then moseyed back to Johnson Park for another round of Wave of Merkins.
Q note: Could Johnson Park become our next AO? There is interest in adding an AO that would be mostly for runners with a little attitude (or muscle) mixed in. Look for more updates on this moving forward.
