Backblast #275 – Halloween w/Sheldon Cooper

Its Halloween and like usual, the weather is dreadful and a lot of the PAX have phoned it in – sick. In fact, YHC is just now felt well enough to take on the responsibilities of the Q.

Pre-Blast Via Slack (10/30/19):

Happy Halloween fellow PAX’ers. The forecast is not looking too great, so the workout will be built later tonight and may involve a parking garage – if it’s supposed to rain. I haven’t been feeling the best this week but plan to make this workout ‘spooktacular’.

AO – Hospital Hill | 39 degrees | 98% humidity | RAIN

Sheldon Cooper:

Run up a full level of a parking ramp, touch the wall and yell ‘trick or treat’ (It is Halloween). Run back to the starting position for: 10 burpees, 10 Squats, 10 Merkins, 10 BBS.

Repeat the run and then take 1 off the count: 9 burpees, 9 Squats, 9 Merkins, 9 BBS. The PAX made it to 2 exercises left before time ran out.

Run back to AO, up the devastating Lyon St. Hill.

Q-Source 10/30 – Full Article Here

Life can seem tough from time to time, but it is through those tough times that you grow as a human being. It’s uncomfortable, but that’s life.

It’s a roller coaster with both highs and lows, which we all have to live through, so you might as well learn how to deal with the lows. The more comfortable you become with life’s problems, the more you’ll enjoy life’s gifts.

Life is what it is, and most of life’s problems are created by us. The problems are events in our life, no one is denying that, but the extrapolation that we do freaks us out, and then we wonder why we feel so bad.

It’s a lifelong habit most of us have cultivated, which means we can change it. But change starts with awareness. Be kind to yourself, and enjoy both the highs and the lows
