After moseying to the stairs I showed the pax a mini soccer ball and gave the pax the following mission: bring the ball to the top and back down.
The catch was that each pax could only bring the ball up (or down) one landing at a time. The first pax started with the ball and ran to the first landing, at that landing, he dropped the ball, completed 5 row-style pull-ups using the center bar and then returned to the base of the stairs where he completed 5 merkins. The second pax picked up the ball as he ran past the first landing and set it down at the second landing, did his pull-ups and returned the the base of the stairs. Pax continued this in sequence until they reached the top of the stairs.
After reaching the top, the pax would then bring the ball down 1 landing, do the 5 pull-ups, proceed to the base of the stairs, do the merkins, then go all the way to the top of the stairs (added for 2nd & 3rd evolution) and come down moving the ball down one additional landing until it reached the bottom.
We made slight modifications to the guidelines after the first trip up which made it a bit more challenging. Each evolution took between 8-10 minutes to complete.
The workout achieved teamwork and constant motion. T-claps to Kraut who completed the workout in a ruck and stayed for 20 more minutes of climbing for his GORUCK Pathfinder training. Bart Simpson hauled up the stairs, and Snoop had a strong showing as well!
